The Impact

The Impact

Your donations will provide concrete support for expeditions with the clinics (PPEP) of first-episode psychosis programs across Quebec.

Unfortunately, one in three projects fails to see the light of day due to funding issues.

According to the latest study (Girard et al. 2023) (1), adventure therapy (AT) offers numerous benefits to young adults with psychosis. It helps reduce stress through contact with nature, strengthens self-confidence through high-intensity activities like canyoning, and helps break social isolation through group living. By combining physical challenges with collective support, AT allows participants to reconnect with themselves, better manage their emotions, and move toward recovery.

Your donations will thus help foster the development of new projects and the continuation of existing ones by:

  • Funding the logistical costs of expeditions: accommodation, minibus rentals, and meals.
  • Funding adventure activities: access to national parks and activity costs (e.g., canoe, sea kayak, via ferrata, climbing rentals).
  • Funding outdoor facilitator guides from Face Aux Vents.

Ce défi représente aussi notre opportunité de lever des fonds pour l’OBNL Face aux Vents, qui soutient la santé mentale via des projets d’intervention par la nature et l’aventure.
